Jumpstart January

What a strange start to 2021, the year we had all been so looking forward to after the shock of 2020.  Well it hasn’t begun quite as we had all hoped, but there are still events in which we can all participate from the warmth of our own homes.

If life had returned to normal, Nordic Walking East Anglia, had been scheduled to run a few taster sessions to bring the joy of Nordic Walking to new audiences and help people, who have been inactive, incorporate more activity into their daily lives.  We had teamed up with an initiative, run by Suffolk Libraries, called Jumpstart January, which encourages people to make the best start to the new year.

Those plans are clearly on hold, but we have recorded a podcast for the Suffolk Libraries Free Speech series, which you can listen to here. If you have friends who have struggled to understand what Nordic Walking is all about, just send them the link and encourage them to have a go in the Spring.

The Jumpstart January campaign is being run remotely, with free online classes in mindfulness, dance, yoga, and  pilates.  Lockdown is a great opportunity to try out some different forms of exercise to compliment your Nordic Walking practice, so do take a look by clicking the link above.
