Directions/Parking
As you enter Stansfield from the North you pass the church on your right, the road falls steeply into the valley and you go over the river Glem. Keep driving through Lower Street and when the houses end at the top the hill there's a sharp S bend. On the first bend to the right you turn left up the dead end road and the village hall is just up there on the left hand side. Please park safely in Stansfield Village hall car park.
The Walk
This walk is approximately 5.5 miles through beautiful undulating countryside, with a mixture of footpaths around farmland, meadows and pasture. Lots of far reaching views.
Lunch
Please bring a picnic and chair if you would like to join us for lunch or just a chat and a snack afterwards. We will have access to the village hall where there are toilet facilities.
Kit
If you need to borrow poles please let me know in advance, otherwise please bring your own poles. Wear light layers and don't forget the suncream and a hat if sunny. Please bring plenty of water in a backpack. Snacks will be provided.
Payment
The cost of this walk is £10 per person. Please pay the instructor directly.
A small donation for the use of the hall would be greatly appreciated. The Village Hall committee have very kindly given us permission to use the toilets.
