Details
We will meet at The Red Lion pub (loos available) and walk through Lady's Wood and on to Kirtling Towers, an Elizabethan Gatehouse. The walk continues into the hamlet of Upend, before circling back through undulating countryside, with views of Cowlinge and Lidgate, before arriving back at Kirtling. The walk is about 4 miles in length and there are no steep sections. However, there are a couple of styles that need to be crossed. For those that wish to finish with a well earned bite at Pub, we will pre-order before we set off, and the food will be ready when we return.
Parking
There are free spaces available in the car park at the Red Lion.
Equipment
Wear comfortable layers, and walking shoes or similar, with a good tread. Water in a small rucksack or bumbag is recommended. Poles are provided.
